Hi there!
A few hours ago, I released the stable version of IBMTTS 26.4.1, which is compatible with both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of NVDA.
The transition to 64-bit involved a lot of changes, including a 32 bits host writing in rust and an IPC communication protocol, acting as the bridge to communicate NVDA 64 with the libraries of 32 bits. That's why older versions of the add-on won't work with NVDA 2026, but this add-on works with NVDA in 32 or 64 bits. So, even if you're running NVDA 2025, you can upgrade safely.
I decided to release a stable version before the new stable NVDA version comes out, to prevent users from losing access to the synthesizer.
Therefore, it's recommended to update before installing NVDA version 2026.
For regular IBMTTS users, the update should come through automatically.
There was a bug in the previous version that caused the update process to fail. Since the issue is present in the previous release, I can't fix that when the add-on tries to update, but The new version has a small workaround on installTasks to avoid the issue and should work in all cases. However, if anyone encounters issues with the update process, please feel free to reach out to me.
Here's the download link, libraries are not included. It's assumed that users who already have IBMTTS installed have the necessary libraries. If you have a copy with the libraries integrated, the update will not overwrite them.
